SCORCH Collaboration Building and Networking Workshop

When

8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 15, 2024

The Southwest Center on Resilience for Climate Change and Health (SCORCH) is hosting a Collaboration Building and Networking Workshop on Aug. 15, 2024.

This workshop will provide an opportunity to network with other individuals who share a passion relating to climate change and health, promoting collaboration among university researchers and outside organizations.

The workshop will provide information about funding opportunities, including upcoming SCORCH pilot project awards. Ashlinn K. Quinn, NIH/NIEHS Program Officer, will discuss funding priorities in climate change and health from NIH-NIEHS.

Abstract submissions are invited in the following categories:

  • Ideas & Concepts (five-minute concept presentation; no slides)
    • Describe your research/project idea and obtain group feedback. We hope this conversation inspires new collaborations, and action at an early stage.
    • Please Note: This category is only open to faculty and outside agencies.
  • Existing Initiatives (poster session; 3 feet x 4 feet sized poster)
    • Showcase your project describing implemented activities, results, and/or lessons learned (all are welcome to submit to this category).

Please submit your abstract(s) (maximum of 250 words) by Aug. 10, 2024, here.

Faculty are encouraged to submit to both categories. Notice of acceptance will be sent by Aug. 11, 2024. For questions, please contact Sonia Nieves, Program Manager at soniam@arizona.edu.
