The fourth in a series of short talks on social science methods and tools relevant to climate change adaptation took place at the ENR2 Building of the University of Arizona on Nov. 7, 2017.

Perspectives were presented by:

Mónica Ramírez-Andreotta – Soil, Water, and Environmental Science
Kacey Ernst – Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Don Falk – Natural Resources and the Environment
Chris Knudson – Institute of the Environment
Tauhidur Rahman – Agricultural and Resource Economics

Presenters gave 5-minute talks that provided an overview of the particular approaches and methods they use in their work or findings of interest.  They fielded questions pertaining to their presentations as a panel, followed by open discussion for the remainder of the session.

Aims of this series are to: 1) facilitate interdisciplinary research involving physical, natural, and social scientists that is supportive and respectful across disciplines, leading to successful and practical adaptation solutions; and 2) more meaningfully bring social science into adaptation work, as well as promote better integration/communication among UA social scientists.
